Virtually Home Chicago will be hosting a benefit this Saturday at Gold Bar to raise awareness for all the black kitties (and doggies) who are neglected based on their dark fur.Apparently black animals are discriminated against as well. Black cats and dogs have the lowest adoption rate and highest euthanasia rate. I had no idea!
Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this event but I wanted to help spread the word -- $20 donation at the door, which includes a drink of choice (Gold Bar has great beer on tap) and sandwiches. Gold Bar is located at 1755 W. Division St. in Chicago. The event is from 7-10pm this Saturday, February 26th.
